Atiba de Souza: So, what are the business benefits of hiring a virtual assistant?
Hey, everybody! I am Atiba and welcome to my channel! And here I discuss with you, really a lot of this stuff that I've learned and some of the best practices around hiring and managing teams of virtual assistants cause that's what I've done for a while now. My businesses run off of teams of virtual assistants so I can share a ton of stuff and answer a ton of your questions. So let's dive into this one today.
What are some of the benefits of hiring a virtual assistant? Well you know, I'm going to break this down for you and probably take it in a different way than you've probably heard it before. Because a lot of people talk all about that. You can go to a lot of websites and see some of the benefits but let me give you some of the hidden benefits today. Some of the things that may go a little bit unnoticed but are game changers for you, okay? So let's say you are a small business owner. I guess that probably is you, and you're looking at bringing on some people because you want your business to grow, okay? And you have some options.
Option number one is, you can hire an employee. Option number two, you can hire a virtual assistant to do some of the tasks that you have that will help you grow. So, those are kind of your options and you kind of weigh which way to go. And now you start to learn a little bit about virtual assistants and you're leaning that way.
Well, here's one of the major hidden benefits of hiring a virtual assistant, especially before you actually hire part-time or full-time employees onto your staff. It's just that simple, guys. Virtual assistants will help you to systemize your process of how your business works and whatever tasks that you give them, you will be able to better systemize those tasks. Now, why is that so important? Well, it's important because as a business owner, this is going to help you with ton. This is going to help you an awful, awful ton. Because that forces you, number one, to think through your tasks on a different level than you would if you hire an employee. If you hire an employee and they come into your business and they even part-time or full-time, especially if they're working onsite with you, then there's a lot of stuff that they'll be able to see, feel, experience that leads them to assume the way things should work.
With a virtual assistant, you don't have that luxury. You don't have that reality. They don't get that indoctrination. So in order for them to be able to actually perform the tasks that you want and need them, that you hired them to perform, you're going to have to think about those tasks a lot more critically and systemize what you actually want done.
That's a huge benefit, guys! Because what it does is when you do decide to hire someone to actually come in and do their task, now you have it all systemized. You have it all systemized. You can hand it to them and then you will get a more productive employee. Because one of the major reasons why people hire virtual assistants over employees is because it costs less.
Let's just face it. You don't have to pay payroll taxes if you're here in the US and you usually can get them at cheaper rates. So you hire them because it costs less. It reduces your risk. But in the reduction of that risk, it also gives you this major opportunity to systemize things so that when you do hire an employee, now you have sets of systems that you can hand to them, that you can teach them through and make that investment in that employee even more valuable.
Okay? So that's one of the real, real hidden benefits behind hiring a virtual assistant and why having virtual assistants can really, really, really help you, okay? All right?
So, wanted to share that with you today. I know that a lot of other people talk about the benefits and they list all different sorts of things and they're absolutely right. I'm not taking away anything from anyone else who's listing those benefits, but I wanted to share something with you today that most people ignore, as a hidden benefit and is probably the most valuable thing. The most valuable thing that the virtual assistant will bring to your business is your need to think through the steps of what you want them to do enough to systemize it and then have them help you even correct and perfect the system so that when you do hire an employee, you would get an even more productive employee because they'll know exactly what you need them to do.
All right, everybody! I hope this helps. I will see you next time. Bye-bye.
