This is a ridiculously interesting and loaded question. Google has said there are hundreds of factors that affect SEO rankings. They also tell us that they care about the users experience and ensuring their users are receiving value from our websites. Well, if you have an e-commerce website wouldn’t the ultimate value be SALES. If someone spends money then you provided value and Google should rank you higher. Correct? Big brother, Google, has never explicitly said “YES” that sales would lead to higher rankings. Today we unpack a few things you should ensure are setup on your e-commerce website so that Google can track your sales.

Because after all…just because they never said it was a factor does not mean that it is not a factor. #tk
